Jumping into inspiration: Duffy and BPStudio FW2012-13

Being based in Florence, a city rich in culture, art and fashion, often provides us with inspiration for our creative process. The exhibit Duffy, The Photographic Genius at Florence’s Museo Alinari pays homage to one of fashion’s most iconic photographers and sparked our imagination for our Fall/Winter 2012-2013 photo shoot.

BP Studio’s showroom in Milan is on the prestigious via Bigli (at number 19), right by via Montenapoleone and all the most important boutiques. Steps from the Metro station and a stone’s throw to the famous Brera Museum, we’re really at the heart of the city.

Spring and Summer 2012 – raku, raffia, and rust!

BP Studio’s Spring and Summer 2012 collection reflects a desire to make clothes that hardly feel like clothes; that have a spontaneous and pure feeling on the skin so that you and the clothes become one.

It’s not an easy task to achieve, but the comfortable volumes, natural fibres and light knits do work wonders and feel great on.

The hand-drawn Line Sheet

If you loved paper dolls as a child, you’ll love this. BP Studio has persisted in the use of a finicky, hand-drawn tool that many in the fashion industry abandoned years ago because it’s too much work: the hand-drawn line sheet.
